cellulite dietIf you have recently noticed that there are bumps appearing on your thighs, legs, or even your buttocks that were not there before, it is possible that you have developed what is called cellulite.

This condition is the result of fatty deposits just beneath the top layer of your skin that are extremely visible, providing an unwanted dimpled effect. When you are wearing short shorts, they are definitely noticeable, and it may cause you to wear longer clothes.

It typically happens to women, and very seldomly to men, with over 80% of females developing cellulite at some point in their lives. There are many treatments that you can go through in order to remove cellulite including massage therapy, cellulite creams and even laser treatments.

However, a better way to approach this is to actually augment your diet in such a way that the cellulite will diminish and potentially vanish.

In the same way that augmenting your diet can actually cause acne to disappear, cellulite works in a similar manner. The food that you eat on a regular basis can actually contribute to, or even exacerbate, the condition.

Listed below are some foods that you should incorporate into your anti-cellulite diet plan:

Sardines

One of the top foods that you can eat for reducing cellulite is sardines. For those that are not fish lovers, this is probably not the best cellulite solution, but if you are serious about causing those unsightly bumps to go away, you might want to give this a try.

Sardines have a considerable amount of omega-3 fatty acids which can act as a deterrent to excessive amounts of estrogen within your body. Estrogen is a precursor to the development of cellulite, and by reducing the amounts that your body produces, cellulite will begin to diminish.

If you are not a fan of sardines, or fish for that matter, you can also take omega-3 fatty acid supplements available at most stores today.

Lemons

Lemons have been used for many years for a variety of health issues including having a fatty liver, and reducing the speed at which carbohydrates are glucose enters your bloodstream.

They are very beneficial for those that suffer from type II diabetes, and also people that have cellulite. Part of the cellulite diet that you should be on should include ingesting lemons everyday.

You don’t have to cut them up and eat them, per se, but simply add lemon juice to foods that you eat, or add them to smoothies to give them that extra kick which will also help reduce cellulite production. You can also take vitamin C supplements as a substitute.

Red Wine

You should also be able to add a beverage or two into your cellulite diet. One that works really well is red wine. Red wine in particular has resveratrol which is a natural antioxidant. Resveratrol will not only help fight free radicals, but it can also reduce estrogen levels in your body. If you are not a fan of drinking wine, you could take resveratrol supplements that are also available at a store near you.

Whether you decide to consume sardines, lemons and red wine on a regular basis to get your cellulite under control, or simply take supplements that contain omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C and resveratrol, you will be able to benefit from either combination by adding this to your diet, allowing you to start to see your cellulite dissipating from your thighs, buttocks and legs.
